Clematis "Niobe"

Clematis 'Niobe' was raised in 1975 and is  moderately vigorous. It is one of the most stunning clematis hybrids available, with large flowers opening as black ruby red velvet. The colour then changes to a brighter shade as it matures. The cream stamens contrast nicely on the rich velvety sepals. It flowers right through the summer, the earlier spring flowers being 15cm (6in) or more.
